A local store in Kerala has decided to stop stocking sour patch, pineapple and alcohol popsicles.
According to The Times Of India, the store is also considering the sale of other unhealthy snacks like chicken and fish.
Costco, which is based in Kancheepuram, is the third local chain to stop the sale in the state.
Last month, the company said that the sale will not be allowed for the time being.
The Kerala government had imposed a ban on the sale and consumption of unhealthy snacks in April this year.
In the past year, the state has seen a spike in cases of liver cirrhosis, diabetes, hypertension, cancer and obesity among the population.
