By Nick O’DonnellA summer of outshine popsicles is upon us and the only thing better than them is the perfect summertime treat to take to your next vacation.
In this post, I am going to share with you how to make your own ice age popicles and you can even make your very own ice cream popsicle.
I know I am not the only one that loves ice age popcorn.
And for some reason I am really, really into it.
Ice age pops are really fun, refreshing and just as much of a treat as lemon, lime or even a chocolate chip cookie.
I started experimenting with ice age desserts when I was in high school and eventually found myself craving some.
I loved the idea of dipping my ice cream in ice cream and then adding some popsicles.
I was a bit obsessed and had to go for it!
But there was a problem.
When I was baking popsicles I was always concerned about whether or not I would need to use a lot of icing.
After all, I had made a batch of popsicles with just vanilla and almond icing and then added a splash of lemon zest and almond butter.
So I had to think about that.
Then, last year I made a small batch of ice cream popicles that were super easy to make.
I added a small dollop of almond butter to my homemade popsicle mixture and then topped them with some fresh lemon zests and almond frosting.
And that was it!
They were pretty good and pretty easy to bake, too.
So, I decided to take a little bit of a step back and make my own ice-age popsicles out of fresh lemon juice and almond milk.
And you know what?
They are delicious!
I have tried making ice age ice cream out of lemon and almond flavored ice cream before, but I always ended up with a little too much lemon and an awful lot of almond.
And it just doesn’t work as well.
And in this case, it doesn’t really matter which one of the flavors I use because I just want the flavor of fresh citrus.
But lemon and apple juice can be a little overpowering and you’ll probably end up with some clumpy or dry ice.
So why would I want to try to recreate my favorite popsicle recipe from my high school days?
I’m just trying to enjoy the fresh flavor of lemon in a fun, simple ice cream recipe.
And the ice age flavor is super easy.
It’s also super easy on the eyes.
So how does it work?
I love to make lemon popsicles because I am a fan of lemon.
And since lemon has such a bright pink color, I love a lime-y flavor.
So it was perfect to add some lime zest, almond butter and a splash or two of lemon juice to my ice-cream recipe.
This lemon lime ice cream tastes just like my favorite lemon popsicle and is super tasty.
But I did use a bit of fresh lime zests to give the popsicles a little extra flavor.
It really brings the popsicle flavors together in a unique way.
And, because lemon is so popular in Australia, I tried making a few other lemon popsies in addition to the lime juice.
But, since I don’t like using fresh lemon, I used fresh almond butter instead.
So, the lemon lime popsicle is really good, but the almond butter is definitely a better choice.
