The BigShotPopsicle meme started with a tweet from actor/comedian/director Adam Baldwin.
Baldwin posted a video of himself in the movie “The Big Shot” with his mom and a large group of friends.
The video was later picked up by various viral websites.
It quickly went viral and has since been shared hundreds of thousands of times on social media.
“That was one of my favorite movies ever,” Baldwin told ABC News.
“It’s a great film, but I love how they were able to bring back those big shots and big smiles.”
In addition to sharing the video, Baldwin also shared his thoughts on why the meme has become so popular.
“I think it’s because it’s a lot of fun and the people who are really into it are all good kids,” he said.
“The big shot popsicles are so delicious.”
The meme’s popularity started after the film’s release.
It’s become so viral that the Disney Parks and Resorts Twitter account, @DisneyParks, tweeted that it had “hundreds” of “Big Shot” popsicles available to purchase.
Baldwin says he bought about 2,000 “Big Shots” for $15.
“So I thought, I’ll just get these and give them away,” he told ABC.
“And they’re gone now.”
Baldwin also thinks the meme is being exploited.
“People are selling the big shots,” he says.
“But I’m not going to give them to them.
They’re selling them on the internet.
People don’t realize that these are real popsicles.
You don’t have to go out and spend $15 to get a real Big Shot.
They’ll be a steal for $10.”
The big shot popicles aren’t just for kids, however.
The hashtag #BigShotPopcorn has been gaining traction on social networks and Reddit, where it’s become a hot topic.
“A lot of people are just like, ‘I want to try this and I want to make some money,'” Baldwin said.
Baldwin said he would love to see Disney Parks, Disney Resorts and other brands embrace the meme.
“You want to take this to the next level,” he adds.
“Do you want to see a brand that embraces it and makes it really popular and spreads it around the world?”
